Growing up on a staple of Sky King, Whirlybirds and MASH, the born and raised West Virginia native developed a passion for anything and everything aviation at an early age. As a Civil Air Patrol Cadet from age 13 through high school, Andy continued with his growing passion when he was selected for the International Air Cadet Exchange which sent him to France for part of a summer. After high school graduation, he entered the United States Air Force on a delayed enlistment program, was an Honor Graduate of the USAF aircraft maintenance school, and became a Crew Chief on T-38 Talon and F-5E Tiger II aircraft in the Aggressor Squadron at Nellis AFB, NV. After one Honorably Discharged stint in the USAF, he continued his quest in aviation working as a licensed A&P Mechanic on business jets, general aviation light airplanes and eventually, helicopters while attending several colleges along the way making the Dean’s List each semester. After completing his Private Pilot ASEL rating while working as an A&P mechanic in Arizona, a VA approved flight school in Greeley, Colorado finally brought him officially into the rotary-winged aviation world. Following completion of his Helicopter Commercial and CFI certificates, the rest is history. His ever-broadening career has added multiple fixed & rotary-winged pilot ratings which has taken him into the Heli-logging Utility world and various Corporate flight departments, often with both rotary and fixed wing aircraft, as a Pilot/Mechanic. Following ventures into both the EMS and ENG worlds and holding the Director of Maintenance position of a Part 135 helicopter operation, Andy later had an eight year tenure as an Airbus factory pilot in Flight Test and as a factory Instructor pilot. Additionally, he has worked as a contract pilot to various entities, a Training Captain and FAA Designated VFR/NVG/SPIFR Check Airman for a large helicopter EMS company and now officially venturing out on his own with the encouragement of his customers & professional peers as an expansive, experienced and continuing career journey. His passion, integrity and dedication to his craft and his customers is unquestioned and continues just as strong to this day.
